Association Management Companies Are Your Nonprofit's Path To Success
Chicago-based Association Management Center has been selected to provide full-service management by the American Academy of Home Care Medicine. The management arrangement begins Sept. 1.
Formerly a self-managed association, AAHCM was founded in 1984 as the American Academy of Home Care Physicians, and was renamed in 2014 to better reflect the diversification of its membership base. Since its founding, the academy has served the needs of thousands of physicians and related professionals and agencies interested in improving care of patients in the home.
According to AMC principal Mark Engle, DM FASAE, “We are incredibly pleased that AAHCM’s Board of Directors has chosen AMC to help move the Academy to the next level. We are confident that our strategic leadership and operational efficiencies will help AAHCM grow, and we’re very much looking forward to partnering with the Board and members to help achieve the Academy’s goals.”
The AAHCM account team will be led by executive director, Suzanne Simons, MS, who brings nearly 30 years of healthcare and association leadership to the role. She is supported by a group of staff who will provide operational support to the Academy as it works to continue its leadership role in its industry.
