Association Management Companies Are Your Nonprofit's Path To Success
Kids’ Chance of California selected LoBue and Majdalany of San Francisco for outsourced services.
The organization’s request for proposals was distributed on AMC Institute’s Online RFP System. Five AMCs applied for the opportunity, and four were short-listed and interviewed by conference call, said Maria Henderson, Kids’ Chance of California president and founder.
Kids’ Chance of California felt the LoBue firm “could provide all the admin scope of work within the budget AND provide added value as a strategic partner for growth and board development,” she said. The organization also liked that the management company is AMCI-certified “as it showed a third party had done an objective assessment of them.”
Kids’ Chance of California is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide need-based scholarships to the children of California workers who have been fatally or seriously injured on the job. Kids’ Chance was founded in 1988 in the state of Georgia and has expanded to 28 states over the last 24 years.
